When you get your unit there will be a couple minute tutorial you can view.

QCom is pretty simple, and will automatically do your split sleeper if you use it. every change of duty point you just push a status and either type a comment or choose one from a drop menu. These will be common ones like shipper/consignee, vehicle inspection(pre-post trip), fuel, scale, LEO Inspection............

It will automatically record your location for you.
Always carry paper back ups in case it goes down. Always get off drive line as soon as you stop(You can not edit this time).

    bullhaulerswife Thanks this.

When our company switched to e-logs we had to use both paper and e-log, learning process I guess. I was a pain trying to get both exactly the same! But after we switched to straight E-log, great! But be sure you log OFF DUTY when you get out of truck at the end of shift, it creates a mess if you don't. Get back into truck to go to work and you have no time. Great deal when you get used to it.

Yes, it is working fine. Hasn't harmed my revenue in the least. When they put it in my truck in Dec '10, I figured I would at least give it a try. If it was a crock, I would pull my truck. I actually like the thing. It does take some getting used to, and you have to learn the ways that you can use it in your favor. Since everything is broke down by minute instead of 15 min increments, it actually makes up for any downfalls that some perceive as limiting their driving time. You do have to be good at managing your time. Where people mess up is having the thing on duty more than they need to and eating up their 70.
