I am 66 years old, and in 1992 was driving for May Trucking, before that for 3 years I drove for Willis Shaw. At the time I was driving for May in December of 92 I had vascular issues with my right foot that resulted in my losing my rt leg below the knee. I have a perfect driving record, never ticketed except one time in 1979 for 10 over in a wrecker. I gave up my CDL in 1993 thinking I would net be driving again.
My question is, are amputee drivers on the road, and are we employable?
I am thinking about going back on the road again if this is possible. I have driven big rigs around since I lost my leg and have no problem. Only thing is carring weight, and slick surfaces. (Walking), as my leg tends to slide sideways.
Thanks in advance

I really have no idea regarding your question.
I do however have experience working with 2 people who artificial limb/limbs.
They were both more proficient than the ave person in that position.
In fact being over weight was more of a handicap most of the time.
Not meaning to sound patronizing , its just the way is was. -
Thank you sir. Bill
