Apparently you DIDN'T have the big picture, your pompous attitude is further proof you're looking to play the blame game instead of taking responsibility. Deflect and attempt insults all you want you're still the one with the ticket.

Pay the stupid ticket, start paying attention, stop running red lights and move on.Cletus29, CondoCruiser and Fatboy42 Thank this.

You sound like a jailhouse lawyer. You go into traffic court and ask to see the cops eye test, they are going to bounce you out with your ticket cost plus some.
To the origial poster, I'd go in there and tell them what happended. I couldn't get the vehicle stopped and I made the decision to blow my horn and go through it. It was not mailcious or with intent. The timing of the yellow light would be a good point to highlight. Even the study that some posted earlier. Video tape the light and give the synopsis of the activity.thesvg Thanks this. -
I have beat a red light ticket before and several other cases.
Never been bounced out of court before for asking for production.
Since the ticket revolves on what the officer seen, questioning his eyesight would be very relevant. How many cases have you won?
Have you ever had a OOS overturned for falsifying a logbook? and had the
the points removed? I have. You can find it here if you look the record is there for the reading. http://dis.puc.state.oh.us/CasesByYearIndustry.aspx
The year is 2008 you'll have to look over a few cases to find it.
Think I was the first one to overturn a OOS for falsified logbook in ohio.
You go tell the judge your story like he's daddy and see what you will more than likely get. I play to win. You don't go in court and ask you file a motion and since you seem to know nothing State courts have law libraries that pro se's can use for free...Cletus29 Thanks this. -
I would say that the speed was no appropriate for the weight he was carrying. Saying that, I would stop at that intersection and time the amount of time it takes to go from yellow to red. At 50 MPH, he was moving close to 75 feet per second.

You can be making 300 dollars driving a load rather than spending a day or two trying to fight the case, which you won't win.
And yes, they did teach me to watch for stale lights in driving school , in 1994. Take the advice and buy the insurance. Its good for a year.

How do you think lawyers get cases dismissed they file motions to dismiss.
If you file anything the court has to hear and rule on it.. Officers do keep notes and in my experience seem to pick patterns of writing certain violations versus others. If you can prove some form of profiling it don't look good on the officer.
Call it hokey-pokey or what you will. I personaly watched in caroline county Va. a few years ago a profesioanl lawyer get his client the absent truck driver convicted of the very same ticket I was found not guilty of and I had no lawyer. So you be a good boy and pay your fines while I fight mine with all my hokey -pokey motions.Cletus29 Thanks this. -
Lets do the math here 150-200 ticket, taxes, points on CDL
insurance increase andetc. Taking your advice Op has gone backwards how much money?? Do you really think a lawyer does his best if you're not there?
I'm really suprised most of you guys here talk the talk of defeat, you have lost before it even starts. The more that fight tickets the less tickets they can write. You need to go home and get your spomge bob whistle. The sound it makes is Looooooooozer.Cletus29 Thanks this. -
And that's what they count on. You pay them money, go on doing your thing, and they'll keep on doing theirs.
revelation1911 and thesvg Thank this. -
I'm learning about courts. I don't have much need as I haven't gotten many, but in case I do I need to learn some things. Which case is it on there, I looked at a few and have no idea what I am looking at. What motions or production do you file? I will have to go to the court near my house and check out their library and possibly look on line for info. The only ticket I beat the cop wasn't there. The other few were minor stuff as a kid that I paid. The more I hear about CSA the more I need to know before I get any points on my record.
