Will the increasing gas prices kills jobs in the near future or will freight dictate it?

it did last time, for a while. Maverick laid off 1500 drivers, Swift stopped hiring experienced drivers, Schneider did some kind of hiring freeze, yada yada yada.
it will slow growth by way of slowing consumer spending of goods.

Its crazy how the prices are already in some states. Wa is one of the worst. They need to fix this crap as we cant keep paying all the high prices for everything as they learned from the last time the price spiked up. If you remember, freight dropped way down the last time this happened and it will do it again.

    You'll be fine.
Get the CDL, get a job.
Since you're a newbe you will be paid less, thus offsetting the fuel costs.
    That's your fighting chance.

To keep it be very, very carefull. Especially while backing, since backing accidents are the most common.
Keep yourself accident free and you'll have much less to worry about.

GOAL!!! as often as you feel the need.

In a nutshell, no. Groceries still are being sold, cars still being made... All still needs delivered. It hurts the people who are buying the final product a lot more than it hurts tje trucking industry. Truckers don't buy fuel, the receivers do.

The gas prices, and overall economy will kill a lot more than jobs in trucking. It's just one big massive snowball effect.

All of the people that voted for our beloved president should be regretting it by now.

The conservatives seem like they've been asleep for the past 4 years, and decided to let these 3 wahoos run against each other. Unless someone else steps up, and soon, Obama will be the president again. Seems like they had no plan coming into this election to beat Obama.

The senate is more worried about birth control, and who pays for it than they are people losing their business', and homes. The gov't is so caught up on social issues that they ignore the things that are crucial to the country getting back on track.
