Im thinking of getting my fiance into the trucking world but not all out 18 wheeler. Im thinking we could do good in the straight truck/expedite side of things. I've drove tractor trailer for 5+years now so I need to find out how to get her started. Any companies that will let me train her? Looking for the best way to get started.
How to get started.

They just need to pass the road test and dmv test and need someone to verify employment. Maybe a relative that owns a truck can verify it. I think werner, jb or someone other learning curve outfit like that will allow them to train. I had a friend that trained his dad and brother with a company up north. I can't remember the name. Check companies like Schneider, swift prime or other outfits that normal people don't like to work for.

I would think u could get booklet from DMV, study it & take written test for class B ! If u have a class b truck u can let her use it for the road test portion! ( if u Hav truck you could b training her now & use same truck for road test) ! The actual "experience" can be given on paper by swipe of a pencil. You have enuff for both !
Hope this helps ... -
Some states should let you use the budget rental trucks with air breaks to do the test in. I hope it works out cause its hard finding a partner

SCHOOL BUS!!!
LOL, I work for a school bus company (whose owners son bought some trucks) and they will offer you FREE training and employment. I've seen signs out infront of almost all of the local bus companies that claim free training and that would get her class B and airbrakes out of the way for FREE. -
I guess im asking more about getting on with a expedite company with her having no experience.
