Ok just wondering if being out on the road more than three months at a time is actually wise the longest i have ever been out before is six months. Iama work horse when it comes to getting in anothef load coast to coast, though here as of late, I cannot get enough coffee or red bull for that next run to happen. I do not know what my major malfunction is this go around, dispatch still thinks I am super man with an ink pen apperently, why is it harder now than when running from amirillo to fort dodge? I was running harder back then than I am now![]()
question never been this tired

Dude, get some time off! This is not just a trucking issue, it's with anything. Soldiers at war need r&r, people with jobs need vacations, full time fireman need time off, ect, ect, ect. Your body is tired and if you don't get some rest you will kill yourself or god forbid some innocent fourwheeler or trucker.
bRound2, NYROADIE and DrtyDiesel Thank this. -
get a physical. you may be short in some vitamin or glands.

You're burnt out. You need R&R. Life's too short to work like that. I would put a cap on two months. That's even too much. I start getting the edge around 6-7 weeks. If you don't want to go home, pull into a casino or some activity for a 2-3 days and get away from trucking.DrtyDiesel, hotrod1018, Mommas_money_maker and 4 others Thank this.

Next week is spring break in El Paso so I'm taking most of the week off and spending time with my wife and kids. I love trucking but even I need more than a 34hr reset off!

Those energy drinks are bad stuff for your body. They could be raising your blood pressure and heart rate (that alone could explain the fatigue issue).
You just need a fun distraction.... like a GF?48Packard Thanks this. -
It's called fatigue son, your body is not constructed for such. If you don't listen to your body you will be a burnout, it will shut down on you.
Back when I started, Canada didn't use logbooks. You ran on Benzedrene and you didn't sleep for days on end. Then you collapsed (literally) for a day or so, popped some more pills and away again. The trucking companys rerquired that or you didn't work; heck, you bought your pills in the dispatch office. It was hell, but we had little other choice.
You paid a price. Some paid the ultimate price. I carry today health issues from that period. Don't run yourself to death in pursuit of a "big paycheck".Onetruckpony, NYROADIE, Wargames and 3 others Thank this. -
One more small thing... have your exhaust checked for leaks. When I'm exposed to low grade exhaust leaks, I get tired with headaches.. 8hrs feels like 15. Just a thought..
CondoCruiser Thanks this. -
Good thought.
Ummmm... you did mean the truck huh?
CondoCruiser and DirtyBob Thank this.
