Go to the terminal, talk to the terminal mgr. or HR person. Complete their 10 page application on their terminal. Face to face separates you from 100's of online app's for an opening that may come up next week or next month. I'm getting my photo ID today and start tuesday.

 

Well boys and girls, I had a face to face interview today at Fedex Freight. I also did my drug screen. I'll be calling them next Friday to do my road test. BTW, I did an online app back in January. Just got the call for the interview this past Tuesday.

 

i start Monday. it took about 5 wks total from the 1st phone call to the official "welcome to fedex" call Thursday

what can I expect my 1st week?

 

How'd the first week go!? My roadtest is done. DOT physical on Monday morn. Then waitin for the welcome call!

 

1st wk was all education....fedex education that is. after that just shuttle pups frow swa to atl. only 2 miles away but 1st full paycheck was more than i was making at racetrac hauling fuel. about to take a 4day education class this wk.

 

I started in Monday. Computer work all this week. I'll do a ride-along the end of next week. Then some dock work the following week. We have two guys from our terminal in Conley this week doing the drivers class. I heard its more videos and tests. So far it's GREAT!

 

They are looking for drivers in my area. I was curious about them. They are looking for line haul drivers at their Gibsonia yard ( Pittsburgh). Do they just do terminal to terminal? I have few questions if I may? How are these drivers paid? I am assuming by the mile. Also do you slip seat? Do they hire without doubles experience? How far out from your "home" yard do you travel? Thanks to who ever responds.
