No less than a dozen friends there, still in contact. Still the same, for the most part. Although Conway has elected to keep the trucks for a longer period, as opposed to before the buy out.
I've watched EVERY negative poster, that was employed by Conway or was the spouse of a Conway employee....silenced in this forum. Some completely disappear. We're left only to assume why. Reading over the threads provides some insight though.
Even if I had never worked for them. Parking a person at ZERO pay...is bad. I don't care what the name on the side of the truck is. -
Dance, I've seen the same from SWIFT, FFE, and other TRAINING companies. it does suck, but at least Conway does provide the food and lodging the entire time it is going on. I also doubt that it is an actual forum poster who is playing cop, but it could very well be there are company people who do read and report.
Maybe my good comments are what is getting me 3000 miles consistently recently. -
Its the #### Internet, and if they left Conway (like you supposedly did) then why would they be silent then???
And in the COntext of this thread, they havent "parked" him,,he has yet to roll with a trainer, get your facts straight
So you couldnt hack it here Either as CFI or now, crap Ive been here 10 years nothing has changed only the Scrub drivers are gone,,,troll on dude troll onLast edited by a moderator: Mar 11, 2012

Parked...sat him on his ### away from home. It's all in your prospective. He's STILL isn't being paid.
ECU why don't you tell our friend here, how many million milers the "former CFI" lost in one class action law suit.
Or how many teams left, only to find out...they were right back in the same ####. Because they went to Conway prior to the buy out. Ooops.
How many owner ops, left for greener pastures after the buy out.
Scrub drivers ?? Many with more miles and years you have with Conway. But I do understand, that only a piece of #### would quit a company after driving for them, for more than 15 years.
As far as whether someone would post or not. I understand drive bys. But long time posters who suddenly drop of the face of the earth after being slammed by certian forum members.
The private message function within this forum....still works. Whether you and others like you like it or not. And I generally hold my tongue on Conway.
But for someone to simply tell a "trainee" to suck it up, and quit whinning. Is bull ####.
Claiming he isn't an "employee" yet, only points out the obvious....we don't pay our slaves, while they wait on us to crack the whip.Last edited by a moderator: Mar 11, 2012
xlsdraw Thanks this. -
Watch what you type. I am tired and don't feel like cleaning up insults....

1." how many million milers the "former CFI" lost in one class action law suit.NONE,,,There has been no "Class Action lawsuit,if there was why didnt you get any money?? I have never herd of such a thing, never notified of any class action law suit, now i drove here years before and after you,,,,,,
2.Parked...sat him on his ### away from home.,,,He is waiting on a trainerwhat part of that dont you understand?they didnt park & sit him he hasnt done anything yet,he has yet to go to actual work, and the time he is sitting he will be compensated
3.Teams,,,So they leave CFI,and go to CONWAY and later find out Conway buys CFI,well if you had been here you me and everyone else had no clue that Conway was buying CFI,Not one single rumor to the fact NONE, it was the best kept secret in trucking as it surprised even the Industry Analysts,They left CFI and made that choice, and if they didnt like it after the "Merger" well then they(Like you) made the similar "choice"
4.O/O's See Above and countless others have replaced them
5.Scrubs I guess thats your definition, mine is one of any experiance that thinks they will do it the way that they want and oh well Conway's operating policies are not their concern,,,MY perspective is this, since we Lowered our Standards,we have had an instrumental increase in(A) Accidents(B)lowered ontime deliveries
(C)Trailers Dropped unserviceable&unreported for next driver
(D)Turnover-like you we have now a revolving door, one scrub out, next scrub in,complain on the internet
,,,Add all this up and the result is we dont get raises,Company spends so much time fixing the above we stand pat on wages
6.But for someone to simply tell a "trainee" to suck it up, and quit whinning. Is bull ####.

As you can see,I dont hide who I am, (Im not a Internet Rambo that hides behind a symbol)and if he ran into me in a terminal or on the road,I would probably give him the same ADVICE,,,you the one demeaning him callling him a SLAVE yeah thats a nice term, and why didnt you point out what other advice i gave him,,call someone in training,,,if you him or any one else are/were not satisfied with their collective experiance then you totally free to spew on here, but not in this forum, try "Bad Companies" -
Any word on the workmans comp lawsuit, brought by a former employee and family who eventually died due to an improper/missed diagnosis using "company" approved Doctors in Joplin?
Before you saw that limb off. It was my co-driver......
At issue, which is cheaper? Simple unrelated surgery, or prolonged treatment of the actual problem?
My "family" wouldn't do me like that. But, if you like the fact yours is willing too. More power to you.
Just to point out how quick a simple comment can get attacked on the Conway/CFI threads.
The original argument....was whether it was wrong to NOT pay someone for sitting in a motel for days one end.
My original answer....was to be happy he got meals and a motel room. Then a follow up, to not post in forum any more.
Yours and others.....attack...attack...attack.xlsdraw Thanks this. -
Layover pay after 48 hrs. Way better training pay than most companies. You sound like a habitual complainer in general
-
In response to the OP....dont let it get you down, you surely made the best decision going with ConWay other then all the other training companies you could have gone with. Things are almost certainly never what you think they are going to be once you get to a new company, especially being new to the industry. ConWay will take care of you and make sure you are trained and out there making decent money. (wouldnt be the case at most other companies) You just have to put up with some BS getting into it is all I can say. I wish I would have done my training at this company, I wasnt so lucky. Just know that if this is what you want to do, you made a good decision picking ConWay and Good Luck!!
ECU51 Thanks this.
