    Hello!

I am starting out at CR England (the premier CDL training program in the country, if not whole world),:biggrin_2559: and they pay miles based on the Rand Mc Nally Household goods Movers Guide. I have been looking all over for this book, just to make sure CR England is being honest, but can't seem to find it. Could someone point me out in the right direction to pick up this book? For what it is worth, it seems that most of the functions of this book are being taken over by their 'Mile Marker' software, but I don't want to pay for the software. The school trainers say that it is the mileage chart at the back of the atlas, but I was thinking that it might be something more extensive that this.

-Thanks for any help you can give.

The first volume was published in like 1936. You must be really up on your household Movement of goods. :biggrin_25517:

I am kind of interested in it myself.

At any rate I found a link to an ebay version on CD Rom for the low low price of $199.99.

There is no Volume 19. They're referring to the latest updated database from Rand McNally. Nobody in any trucking company uses a paper book to dispatch trucks anymore, it's digital.

You can bet Rand McNally guards the info closely, too. They won't let any info leak out that's not being paid for.

    AWaistOfAir Thanks this.

    Thanks Dave.

That is kind of what I thought. I guess I will just have to accept CRE's word that it is giving me all the miles that I am owed. They have access to a super secret set of data, that only they are privileged to see unless I invest in Rand McNally.
I should probably look at getting a TND Rand McNally Gps when I save up enough.

In the mean time I found this site:
    http://www.randmcnally.com/mileage-calculator.do

Just comparing the numbers to the numbers on the Rand McNally road atlas, shows that they are a bit different. Both come from Rand McNally, but maybe one uses the HHMG and the other does not.

    -Trust, but always verify.

    HeWhoMustNotBeNamed and dave26027 Thank this.
