Complaint about Maverick Transportation LLC hiring Practices, opinions please

We lose accounts only because we refuse to be cheap. A lot of times those accounts come back for the service. Who lost more money with the truck sitting,you or Maverick? Answer is Maverick and your fussin about only gettin $8? Geel lucky you got that because no Maverick doesnt charge after the first hour. If they did then another carrier would just come in and not charge until the third hour which is the industry standard,like it or not. Maverick would like to charge after an hour I promise you but its not feasible in the market right now. Sounds to me like you got angry because you werent making money,had you asked before going to glass you would have found out miles were short there. Did you ask about another division? Or just get mad and quit? Whose fault was that?

 

Roehl is slow trucks but I rarely hear their drivers fuss. TMC is a pain in the butt with driver gotchas for everything designed to keep you from reaching top pay,no apu's but want you to not idle,want good mpg but put you in a square boxy truck without an apu. Btc I dont know much but their equipment is older than Mavericks I know from seeing them on the road.

 

I used to believe that about the detention but two weeks ago I was sent to ghent. There was no way I could make the pick up time but the info said you could arrive two.hrs late.
I.sat for over 5 hrs and now they say since I was late for my appointment I can not get detention. I am going to fight it.because this was not my fault.

 

Its always been that way Jim....if you don't arrive in time for the appointment you can't get detention.

I see what you're saying...you couldn't have made it because they gave you the load too late (been there, done that)...good luck.

 

I intend to talk to jc if necessary.

 

Cream of the crop.......Please. They try and brain wash you and put you in their hotel far,far away from home.Why do you think all their trucks are autos. Because any warm body can drive them....When the instructor told us about a story of a drivers' family member passing away and doing the Maverick thing and making the delivery. Then telling the class if you couldn't do this,then nows the time to get up and leave....if i know now what i know about Maverick(they only hire the best..bull.s...)..I would of got up and left.

Please....You a dispatcher or seasoned driver. Why do you think thirty new drivers arrive at Little Rock every Saturday, and only two stay after a year? Why do you think all their trucks are autos? Why do fleet mangers keep new drivers out for weeks at a time until they complain? Maverick LLC talk crap about other big truck companys, yet they are just as bad. I would'nt be surprised if the other companys treat their drivers better.

Where you there in our class? I have other drivers from that class that we still talk about to this day. They are still with Maverick.
