of CDL school and get pulled over for DOT inspection and get 6 points for brakes out of adjustment on one side of flat bed trailer and no reflective tape on a splash guard on the tractor . Don't even have a job or my CDL yet and already have points. Sometimes you just have to wonder...

If you're in school, and driving on your permit; those points should legally be on the CDL holders license -- i.e. the CDL licensed driver from the school who took you out for road practice. You are in school -- not your responsibility to maintain the equipment!

This is legally not on you!

I am taking the class at state community college and it is a state licensed vehicle which gave us two hours to get repaired. If it would have been anyone else they would have been taken out of service until fixed on the spot. He gave me and the instructor points and I will definitely write something about it on the critique of the class. I came to learn not be given points before I even have a job or my real CDL license.

okay so im confused, in this school didnt they teach you proper pre trip, or did you miss that day , due too a drug test, but anyway, i myself would told em no till they got a roadworthy tractor, sorry about your bad luck, but use it as a learning curve from now on, :biggrin_2557:

    No that's BS...

You are paying to get trained by a reputable school, hosted at a community college. Pre-trip or not, CSA points aren't on you; it's 100% the schools responsibility to maintain roadworthy equipment.
