My instructor told our class that if we get an inspection ticket while driving the school equipment, then BOTH get CSA points.

Not to worry, everyone has points for something. It'll get better. That officer was just sore because his wife cut him off so he takes his frustrations out on truckers.

Did you already have a CDL(A or B) when this happened? I asked one of my instructors about this because they have some iffy equipment( one is nicknamed "The Sloppy Jalopy" and we went through Weigh Stations all the time. I was told the student is operating under the instructor's license and the school was responsible for any vehicle violations. As a student, you don't have any say in the maintenance and repair of the school's equipment. You better fight that ###### because that's a hard way to start a trucking career. Best of luck to you!
