I noticed your name is Cowmobile, and also your cat logo.I'm assuming you haul cattle.I'm from Amarillo and been around cattle all my life.Your deal is 100% different than mine.I understand why you have to drive fast.Cattle get sick in trailers, they fall down and get injured, and you're talking about big money in losses. My truck is spec'ed perfect for where I run and what I haul.As far as driving goes,I think I'm as good as anyone else,I have a perfect record.I've driven 2 cat powered trucks, and you couldn't give me one today.Neither one of them would get over 6,but they pulled good.I get paid 1.00/mile plus the surcharge, this week it's .47/mile,no more no less.To make the most money I can,I have to run around 1300-1350 rpm's on a 455 hp cummins ISX 2010 model.I don't give a crap about the mph's its the rpm's I watch.I agree with you on those 65 mph trucks trying to pass each other and it taking 5 miles to do it,that is pretty stupid.I stay in the right lane,I hardly ever pass anybody. But I can tell you this,I'm not giving up 10,000 bucks to make you happy.Dang dude, thats a new bass boat for me every couple years.
Whats up with 62 mph?

I understand the governed trucks, I understand the people who chose to drive slow to help keep more money in their pocket instead of exxon/mobil. I dont have a problem with my truck being governed as my loads are dispatched at an avg speed well below 63. That being said......... I felt really really bad the other day when I was passed by a HOUSE!!!!!! 2 trucks carrying each side of a dbl wide blew by me like I was dragging an anchor behind me. I had to laugh. Never passed by a house before. When I tell people they all laugh thinking im making a joke and if you say it that way, it sounds like a joke but all I could do was shake my head when that happened.

Many have slowed down so they get there when they are suppose to not 2 hours early then
about having to wait 2 hours to get unloaded.
-
Most places are happy to see me pull in early so that don't bother me.
-
Depending on what you haul a Lot of places will not let you on the property if your more than 30 minutes early.
Do a factory relocate and its orchestrated down to the minute , get there early and its a screwup. Same as hauling sweetner to pop plants . -
Holy crap-0-la! That happened to me as well! but I was going up Monteagle on I-24 at the time
If someone is drag racing me to pass I will back off for a few seconds so he/she can get by. I mean, really, what's a couple of seconds to me when I am going 62 anyways. Not too many drivers feel this way apparently since the reciprocal almost never happens (them darn Boyd drivers are ruthless!)bbechtel16 Thanks this. -
