Downgrades?

There have been many crashes at that stop light. Many trucks/cars in the Colorado river there. Thats why the bypass was built.

 

we use to run over the dam before 9-11..then we had to go up thru bullhead and laughlin..remember when it was only 2 lanes before they made it into 4 and added escape ramps...and i never really heard of a ton of crashes at that stop light where the cars and truck went into the river there...that would be a long way down past the stop light to go into the river...Ive see a few close calls but never a wreck there...

 

The crashes happen on the bridge comeing down like out of Vegas. Theres a cafe down the road, the girls that worked there were telling me about it. They had newspaper clips from all the wreaks.

 

gotcha stump...we were talking bout coming west bound down the hill outta kingman headed to bullhead city.

 

you can get in as much trouble on sandstone as you can anywhere in the lower 48 don't let the guys worry you about out west if you have a brain and use ityou should do just fine. Sometimes you have to be smart enough to be afraid of what could happen. Pipestone out there on 90 will wake you up real quick if you are not careful.

 

Some1 Will laugh but where's this sandstone in wv? I can't place a bad mnt on 64 and yes I've run it a time or two or a few dozen.

 

You forgot to mention while eating a pulled pork sammich and drinking a beer at the same time....That takes some skill btw....

I agree, plus the jakes work better at higher rpm's. but assuming you have a 10 speed, by the time you get up to the rpm range(in 8th) for the jakes to work well, you are going too fast. Good rule of thumb is 10- the % of grade for proper gear...you can upshift if that is too slow. With this technique you should never have to use more than 10lbs of applied brake pressure.
