Ok I know I had some bad things to say about the company, but after dealing with some bad things from Con-Way and going back to FDX Ground it has been a lot better. I was working as a p/d driver once again and now I got a possibility but not guaranteed line haul position. Does any one do line-haul for FDX, whats it like, what are the usual hours(not that it really matters) and what does a line haul driver do at the hubs. I will be working for someone not owning my own truck
Back to FedEx ground again, possible line haul driver

I work for a FedEx Ground contractor. I work his wholesale P/D accounts locally. I share my tractor with a line haul driver. Hooks a set, drives to Syracuse, picks up another set and drives to Albany, then brings a set back to Plattsburgh. Sometimes he has to wait 15-45 min while trailers are still being loaded. No dock work.ACH1130 Thanks this.

I run a FedEx Ground turn every night from Bossier City, LA to Hutchins, Tx (Dallas area) pulling doubles, drop and hook and I love it.

them ground contractors always speeding, whether perfect weather or snow
how do you guys get paid by the load or mile? -
Can't speak for all drivers that pull for Ground contractors, but I am paid for the trip. Same trip same money. I know that not all are speeding because, I'm not.SheepDog and Leftlane101 Thank this.
