charge more. then mpg not as big a deal. Don't talk yourself into a truck. If one is paid for and reliable, run it.

    1. More room ... 51 in vs 70 in condo vs a mid/ almost flat top
    2. I figure better fuel Econ
    3. APU
    4. Ride 218 vs 232 wb

    That's all I got ... Lol

Now you got some legit reasons.

Fuel mileage and APU are things you can invest into the current truck.

Sleeper size and WB, that's a whole other issue.

So look at something like this....

    http://www.truckpaper.com/listingsdetail/detail.aspx?OHID=3464805&

And look at investing into a major w/ clutch etc sooner.

Then you know what you got....

And you get to pay yourself instead of bankerman.

Fwiw, we have a '95 377 Pete with a 350 cummins, turned up to 400hp, 10 spd (rears I'm not sure), 11r24.5's, and that truck will average 7.2mpg on a 600 mile round trip. Loaded to 100k lbs going up, and coming back loaded 80k. That truck is ran to the floor from the moment it leaves the yard, til it gets shut off at night. Severly underpowered, aggravating to drive, but 5k lbs lighter than our 379 petes with big cats, so it holds more, and uses less fuel. I don't drive it, but I'd use that thing everyday to make money with over our hood trucks. And, I love my hood and big power. I'll use 80 gallons on a 430 mile trip, in my 379, loaded 85k lbs one way.

    I'd find a different truck...
    FRO15210C

Low torque tranny. only rated for 1500 ft/lbs.

Yes, I am a torque freak. It's what does the work in those engines. I don't want a big 550 hp engine, I want an 1850 ft/lb engine and drive line.

Torque will get you to speed faster and let you cruise those small hills with no big issues.
