student driver stressing out

I know it's easier to say than do, but ... he simply must try to relax. He won't learn anything when he's stressed/impatient/nursing a low opinion of himself.

He has to apply himself to learn what he needs to know. Like the rest of us.
His first afternoon double clutching and he's not perfect. Like the rest of us.
He'll learn if he works to learn. Like the rest of us.
He has to study and practice the pretrip. Like the rest us.

No one is born knowing this stuff. BOL.
