    Still no law broken.

    Matter of opinion.

You have the right to remove items from your trailer for the delivery.

You've made your delivery, you have it contracted you will deliver a product, after that it is up to the consignee how they store said delivery.

If you are near a town of any size I would pull up to an equipment rental yard and rent a forklift for a couple hours and fix it. If you have to leave some behind for a second round, I'm sure they would work with you. For crying out load they are railroad ties. Who cares how they are loaded. That guy sounds like a real jerk.

This one would really push my patience. But sometimes you have to keep it together and find a solution.

Unless they are paying you for the use of the trailer for storage, you can have it removed any way you can. It would be advisable to not damage it, and to record the action.

I've seen this done with railroad ties in order to bring the price down. The customer will say "I wanted it this way" knowing the only way to fix it will be an expense to you. Eventually they will turn around and say "well I will take it this way, but I expect a discount". The person who is footing the bill for lost time, and possible further expenditures will usually cave and take a lower rate since it is still cheaper than the equipment and time loss.

If that's the case, I'd find a storage unit (secure storage) to put them into.

He can pay full price + the price of the secure storage.

I used to help stack and load them after the railroad discarded them on a rancher's property. He had a deal with them they could use his property for discarding used ties (instead of leaving them on the railroad property) if he could sell them. We ran into issues all the time and Danny finally got to where he demanded payment up front.

Remind broker that you legally own the load and will hold it till you get paid. If they still wont help you then sell it. :biggrin_25510:
