Can you elaborate. All companies have different policies on paying detention pay, if that's what your talking about.

Yes.
Thankfully, I am with one that does. -
I hear ya. I don't consider Roehl a Mega carrier but I like that I'm treated more than just a number.

Two hours seems to be the industry standard for detention pay at a shipper or receiver. It has to be documented so that the company can bill the ship/rec. For Arnold/USX the in/out times have to be on the bills and you have to send the designated q-comm macro.
That does you no good if your truck is in the shop and you are waiting at the yard or hotel. -
true about the in/out times for proper billing and even with the right times they still denied me pay on the last det. total time was 5 hrs thats 3 hrs of det pay didnt get it but the main thing im talking about was sitting under a load for 4 days waiting to deliver and they not paying for it you can drive a lot of miles in that time
-
Most of the bottom-feeders tell their drivers that detention pay is "figured into the load".
The mileage pay is for hauling load from point A to point B. If you are stuck at a shipper/receiver more than 2 hours, you should be compensated for your time.
There is way too much unpaid downtime in this industry. Time is money. Quit giving your time away for free.Everett, dave26027, DrtyDiesel and 2 others Thank this.
