    Guys I'm starting a new job changing careers to hauling saltwater in the oil field. I'm having trouble getting in touch with my boss cause he's on location in the new oil field find in Texas. All I know is that I'll be driving a CH613; i'll be pulling the long version of a vacuum truck with the long full sized tank.... there are so many models of the CH. Which model would be the truck for the oilfield vacuum service... I need a few models and probable transmission; number of gears so I can watch some instructional videos before I start and learn as much about the CH before I start... By the way does the CH have a good reputation?

    macks dont make the most aesthically pleasing trucks, but those things are tanks and can take a beating..Still see early 90's model macks running around. real strong, solid trucks.

    My favorite is the rawhide editions. Big hood with the huge flat grill.

    Just google CH16 there are only two models of CH613 the CH and CHN. The visions are CH, CHN, CX, and CXN. Pinnacles are CHU, CXU , and CXP. The truck in my profile pic is a 99 CH613 with an MP7 350 with a 9 speed. Mack had the same transmissions as the other trucks but also had their own transmissions, all standard shift patterns. The mack transmissions. The rawhide is a pinnacle with some high end components and a CH hood. After 2007 Volvo merged with Mack so the pinnacle and rawhide models have volvo undercarriages and drive lines with a mack cab. The engines are volvo engine with mack valve covers and mack part numbers. If you look at a 2008 Mack and Volvo side by side you will see the comparisons. The older CH613's are god awful tough but not the most comfortable.

    that's probably exactly what i'll be driving; will check on the other models though; your truck looks like its is what we would use in the oilfield on gravel and dirt roads,
