I would like to see a thread going of specifically tarped loads, I want to learn different ways to tarp fronts and backs, because I feel I've got everything down to a "T" except tarping loads on certain odd ball items, and even sometimes of regular square loads and coils. I feel sometimes I loose a lot of time on things like this.
post your pictures of your tarped loads

I don't plan on tarping many loads anymore but ya never know if the rate is good.

Look at my truck. It's 2 aluminum doils.
-
coils elude me sometimes too

I wouldn't drive thru a terminal with those straps over your tarps. Roehl wants them under. Unless you need one or two to hold a funky shape slack in place. -
i dont care where my straps are, ive never got #### at any terminal

Dont tarp too many myself, but here is one I found.
Just needed a front/top tarp is all.
I for one will not think twice about running straps over the top of a tarp. just wait until you get some really big or awkward stuff to tarp, those straps will be a life saver.
Worse one I did was a 14' diameter tank stood upright. It had a curved top and pipes sticking out everywhere....

Only reason I even brought it up is we work at the same company and they don't want you strapping over tarps. We don't haul any funky shaped tarped loads. "shrug"

Here's a tarped coil.

I saw that mate.
Do they give a reason for it at all?
I see guys pulling "normal" size and shape loads putting straps over the load all the time, especially on windy days etc.
Dont see the wrong in it myself.
