just have a simple question most of the drivers working for big or small companies have bad things to say about them but yet still are either working there or looking to get in to other big company but if you work hard and don't refuse any loads then there is money to be made in this industry not as much as it use to be few years back. I have been in this industry for 12 years but never had any issues with miles or money offcourse never refused a load either.
All driversare bashing the companies

You don't WANT to say anything NICE about a carrier HERE!

This is the BAAAAAAD Trucking Company folder!
Red Sovine, rachi and cudafish71 Thank this. -
didn't say good or bad about any company

your right. its a lot easier to be negative then it is to be positive, thats how the majority of people think. which is so weak lol. i just try an be smart.. make that paper and have a goodtime. the world will always be full of negative crap, just gotta let those times go and keep the positivity. its easy and im happy so it must work end of story.

The OP wasn't really saying anything nice about 1 company, but
a general statement, i think.
The problem is - what happens when you do everything right and
your still treated like a third class person ??
Most people have a limit as to how much BS they will take before
they just get fed-up with it. It seems to be the prevailing attitude
of the "major" carriers to dish out as much as they can, knowing
there seems to an endless supply of "newbies" that they can
abuse and use at their discretion.
Until the attitude of these "carriers" change or the drivers in mass
revolt, there will be NO change of these "carriers".

The problem isn't the company and it isn't the industry. It's the driver. Lets face the facts, people don't do their homework. If you want to be treated like a person instead of a number, then OTR isn't for you. If you want to be home more than once a month then OTR isn't for you. If you want to get paid for every mile you drive and every minute you work then OTR isn't for you.
People jump into the industry expecting the hollywood glamor and get depressed when they find out the job isn't what it portrays. Or they expect a company to bow down and worship every demand they make. Ain't gonna happen. Not in this lifetime or the next. And rather than 'man' up to their mistakes and learn from them, people would rather point the finger and blame someone else for their misfortunes.Last edited: Mar 26, 2012

Oh, I see. When a carrier with 5,000 trucks hires 4,000 - 5,000 students a year it isn't the carrier . They just hire the wrong people.Red Sovine, AfterShock, bigjoel and 1 other person Thank this.

I see the point of that post went well over your head. Nice try.Cooper09 Thanks this.

from what ive seen otr drivers will put up with alot till you mess with their pay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BigMuthaTrucka Thanks this. -
The post was pointless . The carriers are able to hire thousands of newbies because thousands get the point you are missing and quit . Newbies don't expect Hollywood glamour . They just expect a wage to survive on and a little integrity . They get neither.Red Sovine, AfterShock, BigMuthaTrucka and 1 other person Thank this.
