No, but you were hinting.
-
No, just putting in my opinion. Yours is different, and I respect that. But do you think if you held a majority share in a company, your going to pass a law that bans said company from doing what they do? Whether I am right or wrong in saying they do control it, you can't deny that it influences it quite a bit!? Right?

Until we elect a Truck Driver, or Iron Worker as President, us Blue Collar, Middle Class are screwed, period.
-
That's a oxy-moron in comparison to the rest of your posts.
-
You will have that lol.. My political/religious views are very weird.. I agree with somethings that I also disagree with. lol. Hard to explain.
Typhoid36 Thanks this. -
Im talking about the drivers who work for contractors. If your a contractor and own the route is a completely different ball game. The contractors get paid by the package and the stop. Now me as a regular driver dint benefit that. I mean come on, would any one want to work 11+ hours a day for straight pay, NO over time or benefits. I made $150.00 a day whether I worked 8 hours or 12 hours. It wasnt too bad since I started at 7 and was done at 330, but then I got a new route and was there from 7-7:30 every day. It wasnt really worth it, but if I owned the truck it would be different. Last guy I worked for there was really cool, and helped out since he understood.
xfreeword420x, con-way did have a union company a long time ago. It was Con-Way eastern express when they were all separte companies. It was shut down and they blamed the union for it all, it was in their videos that they made me watch when I first started. But like you my father was a union carpenter and always spoke good about it. I do work for YRC now which is teamsters, and it really is a great company
Now what I dont get is whats with all the bashing on CWF going on for. Its their choice if they want and like working, doing what they do. To be honest although I had a really bad experience, I have nothing against the company since they did take me in and train me on driving trucks etc. Although there is some things I disagree with what they do, the people who do it though really really enjoy it. -
You need to look up lobbyist firms and look at all the billions of dollars that pharmaceutical, oil, and insurance companies spend with these guys to influence your Senators and Congressman!CenutryClass Thanks this.
-
That doesn't suggest that the congressman/senator is whipped (if you catch my drift). Without proof, all you have is a conspiracy.
-
I guess they just spend all those billions with lobbyist firms to throw money away? Lobbyist "lobby" politicians for influence on certain bills that are passed through Congress and Senate. There are thousands of these firms in Washington and this is all they do! No secrets or conspiracy to it bro! Absolutely legal!
