I was looking on-line at Peterbilt exhaust cab brackets. The ones I have on my truck (96 Pete 378 Dual Exh, Factory Day Cab) are a U shaped big contraption that bolts on to the muffler. I'm going to be going to 6" straights so these will just not do and I saw that they show a straight bracket and an angled bracket. Is there any difference in the two? Here are photos of each as shown on Iowa 80's on line catalog.

There are also exhaust clamps with either angled mounting holes or straight holes to match those cab mounts.

Angled to Angled and Straight to Straight I'm just going to guess at that one! I was just wondering if one style was for trucks with sleepers and the other for daycabs, or something like that.
Oxbow Thanks this. -
I use the angled to move the exhaust a little farther forward away from the front corners of the sleeper when using the bigger stacks.

Allright, so I could probably do fine with a straight bracket only running 6" stacks on my 378 Day Cab?
-
I have used them with up to 7's.

Either one will work but the angled will match up better due to when you grind the rivets off the upper muffler mount the holes are angled in that mount.

Hello! Can i used straight clamps with angles brackets on 8’s Peterbilt 379?
