The application is about the size of a small book! But fill it out turn it in to local Key Energy you get hired faster that way.

sounds like a great job dude, good luck!

rig moving is totally different than fracking and wireline, but yes, his 2% statement is a bit off.

rig movers are about being on the go go go go, where as wireline and fracking is about being on location until your job is done and on average, its most of the day+.

i always thought rig moving was pretty ######.

I wasnt meaning a Rig Moving company. I was talking about actual "Field" work such as Fracing, wireline so forth. For these companies YES 2% is about all you get to drive, some "field" companies use a third party "Driving" company to move the equipment, the company I wrk for doesnt use a "driving" company but just the same we dont move very often, once during a 2 month period. Thats where the 2% driving comes so low.

Sorry If there was any confusion on either part!:biggrin_25524:

I have NO trucking experience. I wanted to comment on this because I started in a trade and was management before I left. My top earning techs made well over 100K but worked 70-80 weeks to get it.

I myself made under that amount in management. When I first entered it was basically said, you are salary making this, you are probably going to work 50 hours per week.

My point is, as a manager I basically worked 60 hours per week but my off time was completely controlled by the need of my techs. I cannot count how many times I went out in the middle of the night to deliver or help them in some sense.

By the time I figured my salary against the amount of hours I worked, under the 15-16 per hour.

PS. my guys were great and this is not a complaint. Just a opinion that there are not too many jobs that pay a high rate with worker desired hours.

** I dont work for a company in Texas I work for a company thats located in Texas office is in WV thats prob the difference, the 2% is very accurate here for frac hands. We are usually on location in the marcellus shale for 3weeks to 2 months depending on number of wells on the pad. Sorry for any confusion Didnt try to make anyone upset. Good Luck with whatever job you do! God Bless!

I just wanted to say this, there are jobs that people may not like, but it may be just what you are looking for. Keep an open mind take it all with a grain of salt and try it for yourself.

    Have a Great day!
    GOD BLESS!:biggrin_25525:

I do not know where vegas is, but I have left Thomas. My last days was about three weeks ago. Now I did a complete 180 and I live on a 15th century caravel (columbus ship, the nina) and we sail around teaching people about columbus and his ships.

I was planning on trying to get a job working for a frac company, but I was talking to someone in port isabel and he was telling me I could probably get a job on an offshore oil rig, so I might try that when I get off the ship.
