none of this is surprising, including the fact that you didnt check out what its "really" like in the trucking biz. you have a wife and kids and you take on the responsibility of leasing a trk that might be worth as much as your house, likely with zero down payment and no credit check, with the same company youre contracting with??? it has worked for some, but some people are struck by lightning twice and live to tell about it as well. sounds like you sold yourself into slavery with 3 days off of the plantation each month.

Walk away from the lease. If they sue for the $10,000 then declare bankrupcy. Yes you take a hit with the declaring that but they dont get your money! Also BEFORE YOU WALK AWAY...... FIND ANOTHER JOB AND HAVE A START DATE!!!!!!! Do not sign another lease until you learn the biz! And if you do sign another one , do your homework first! Some companies have a walk away lease and your fairly safe if you leave (unless you owe for maint. fuel ect.) Good luck to you and yours!! Wish you the best!

who said it many years ago,
    A Sucker born every minute.
Why would a trucking school grad want to lease a truck right out of school is beyond me. Get a few years under your belt, as a company driver, run your company truck as if it was yours, then after a year or two of doing that, decided then if you want your own truck.
Never let the truck schools, trick you into a lease.

your story is truely heartbraking and ta think other new drivers are in the same boat you are.Leasing a trk and not having a clue about trucking or the company is the same as gambling. As the saying goes, there's a sucker born every minute.I don't mean anything bad by that because you along with hundreds have no clue the drivers are lied to the most in this industry. Can you go to director of operations or your dispatcher in person and ask for more miles?I just wish ppl would really know the industry before even thinking about leasing. So what is you would have had a purple trk as long as it gets you where you wanna go and safely what makes a difference. My very first trk was a Purple Century.Iliked that trk.If transam would have told me id be driving a bright pink with green pin strips if I dont lease, you know what,I would have took the trk,no doubt about it.But anyway don't just up and quit with a 10 thousand dollar bill hangin over your head. What loads you are given, how's your perfomance? Are you always ontime picking up and delivering?

Perhaps it implies they have, or will have company trucks available, despite what they tell you to
    Bully you into leasing.

I'm at my first day or orientation in Rockwall and most here seem to know what to expect as far as the pressure they put on you.

There is ZERO chance I lease. Send me home, see if I care.

File bankruptcy then tell them to stick it where the sun don't shine! Start calling other companies and be very honest with them, you could be pleasently surprised with the outcome.
