As hard as it may sound to someone who has never driven truck, your first year will teach you more than the next 10 combined. Maybe 20.
Commit yourself to at least one year (two would be better), dig in and learn as much as you can. You will be amazed how much you will gain.
Pick your trainers brains as much as you can.
There is a wealth of information to be had at Stevens. It's there for the taking.

not all trucks have apu! while out dumb n dumber our truck had no apu n first dispatch was to souix city....-6' n not suposed to idle for more than 5 min....yea right!!!lol

All the trucks (except yours) have apu. I suspect your truck was being prepared to be sold (APUs are removed), then due to the shortage, was put back into the fleet.
Aren't you lucky!

In case you haven't heard you will be able to park the truck, at the KW dealership. It's a block north of the T/A. Make a left out of the truck stop through the light and it is on the right

How can you be so far in the process and still not have your own basic questions unanswered? You need to 'interview' these recruiters, and take notes! Most of your questions are already answered in this forum, by the way. Best of luck and safety to you.
