Seems a bit pricey. I'm considering something like this:

Gopro seems like.the answer to me.
Affordable, easy to use, good quality.
Have to remember to turn it on but for the price that's a minor problem.
I look for it to soon be able to cable to an external hard drive or stick to up record time. -
-
And it it requires to be plugged into an inverter. (one plug for the DVR and another one for the cameras)
And it's big.
And the cameras are big.
And no GPS (i.e. view on a Google map) position sensor.
And the cam mounts are made to be screwed into walls.
The positives?
- It has internet connectivity for remote viewing (if you wire it to a router or something with a cat5 plug)
- The camera lens technology is higher than typical 12-volt systems because or their larger physical size.
- You can put a huge hard drive in it (up to 2 Tb's in size)
- People are giving it good reviews.Last edited: Apr 6, 2012

I just received mine today. It's an el-cheapo, but for now I can't afford to spend a lot on one. One of our other drivers has been using this type for a while now. He likes it.

I got one off ebay pretty much the same as this one at about the same price too. I'm very satisfied with my purchase.

Check out VideoDashCam.com Seamless DVR Nghtvision Video Recorder Cost $149. + 32 g memory card $ 99.
This is the one I use. The guys who owns the company actually called and ask how I would use the camera. Then he set it up the way I wanted it. Comes with a really long cord so you can tuck the cord out of the way.
When you get it, plug it in and it is ready to go. The 32g memory card records 12 hrs. before it resets. The clarity is excellent day or night.
I leave mine on all the time. A driver took off half my trucks front-end trying to back in beside me. Then he drove off. His insurance decided to pay immediately when I said I had it all on video and would they like a copy?JackTheWhack and Gears Thank this.
