Uh no, Show me in the user policy where it says I can not post my thoughts on this thread. Confucius says when a man is ignorant, just because others agree does not change the fact that they are all ignorant! You guys school of thought is going to make it easy going for the further decline of the trucking industry! who cares what permits you need, he is a Mexican national and will adversely effect the rates. I more directly will be affected by globalization then any of you if you care to know, it must be stopped before we're all out of work!

Are you saying that you're gonna be out of work if the Mexican Big truck drivers are allowed to cross the southern border headin' north?
How can "we" stop that?

I'm a retired trucker, who now works in a manufacturing plant. Theses trucks moving freely here are going to be the cost saving fast track to the extinction of the rest of the manufacturing sector. My company already builds in Mexico and will eventually move all operations south of the border, and sell them north of the border! The loss of manufacturing jobs also leads to a decline in available loads in NA. They (the manufacturers) are putting us out of work and will continue to force current U.S. drivers to work for the rates they (the Mexicans nationals) can drive for because they have a currency exchange advantage! Not to mention they don't pay what we do for fuel. How exactly to Americans compete with that and maintain a route and household in the U.S.?

 

What you describe is also a concern to me,.......especially considering the ability for a large group of Mexican Big truck drivers to shut down in protest of one thing or another.
Just in time freight just got late.

I think this whole NAFTA thing needs to be revisited.
And at LEAST closely monitored in more ways than one.

 

I have re-read all of his posts, and NO where does he say he is a "Mexican National", but he DOES say he is a citizen of BOTH the U.S. and Mexico.

Holding dual-citizenship is NOT "unlawful" as you stated earlier, not in this country, anyway.

Again: if you have a problem with "Mexican Cross Border truckers", you need to address it in THAT forum/thread. THIS thread pertains to a question from an American who wants to "truck" into Mexico.

Canadians coming across the border in "Cross-Border" trucking hasn't hurt the American Trucking industry, like "they" said it would, so I doubt Mexican Truckers will either.

 

...... if he is a citizen of Mexico than he is a Mexican National! Show me where I violated the user policy by posting on this thread?

 

I'm glad someone around here still has some common sense, and what are your thoughts on the economic effect of cross border hauling by truckers who have less household overhead, or a currency value advantage? What is the long term effects of this open border trucking policy to us? (Native born citizens who still want to live here)
