I've read all the threads, posts, etc. and now I'm worried. My husband has been driving for about 3 years now. We decided that after our kids graduated I would leave my "lucrative" career as a lunch lady behind and we would become team drivers. After reading all the forums and such I am really beginning to become concerned. I have read about the false positive drug tests(even if you are not doing drugs), the bad employee/employer relationship that could end up with something negative on your DAC(that is not true), and the little accident(that may not even be your fault) causing you to NEVER being able to seek employment and lose your whole career. I do believe if you did these things mentioned then you should be held accountable, BUT what about all these posts about the falsely accused? Are they really? Or are they just not admitting the whole story of what really happened in their situation?:biggrin_25521:

I would say that most are leaving out key parts of the story.

LMAO - 99.9% of those stories are BS. The person who took the test had at the very least, trace amounts of a controlled substance in their systems.

They just love to fabricate stories, point the finger and blame everyone but themselves.

Most tell the story in a way to shift blame away from them,
Don't stress. Just be safe, and you'll be ok.

Thank You, I needed that. I was really hoping most of these "false" accusations were not true. It really made me have second thoughts. Maybe I should lay off the forums for a while. I am really looking forward to my life OTR.

The people with "false positive" drug tests are the people using drugs.

Sort of like every criminal behind bars is innocent.....according to them!

I like the stories about these drivers that got fired for bumping a big yellow concrete pole or something silly, but completely leaving the other mishaps they had in the before.
    There is a limit dude!!!!

hubby and i tried ream driving. it just wasnt for us. i still team with him i just dont do any driving.
and yes, you could end up with a false report on your dac. ooida just settled a big class action lawsuit over that. apparently a company was hiring temps and making false reports on their dacs causing many to not be able to get another driving job. this is black balling and it is illegal. unfortunately there are companies that do get away with it. some companies will, no matter what call an issue the drivers fault, be it an accident or even maintainance issues.
there are good companies and bad companies. just an opinion, but i think if you balance out what you are seeing, there is about as much good as bad. this is a great place to let off steam, so sometimes you will see more of that. i know i have let off a bit in here myself.
its just a matter of finding a company that will suit your needs. sometimes you gotta kiss alot of frogs before you find your prince.

I really love the ones saying their girlfriend or wife cooked them brownies before they came to orientation.

I know of at least 2 threads. Could be more.

    Too bad, so sad.
