I don't mind heavy or tarps...lol
-
yep has to be tarped but it is not as high as lumber so no worries
-
I was picking up a load of el-cheapo lumber in the far reaches on MN today ($2.25 mile) and after 1/2 the load was on, the customer called and canceled the load. I was not happy, but my agent got me $300 TONU and off I went to WI to get my next load.
As for steel, I like hauling plate. Even if it needs tarped it seems to pay alright if you get with the right brokers. I've been seeing coils around the $3.50 mile mark but they are always going 200 miles maybe so it just does NOT justify the time waiting to load, unload and wear-n-tear if u ask me. I'm sticking to my oddball military stuff and spot market freight.FREEBRD Thanks this. -
seeing as your from PA! IM IN BUTLER PA NOW ! HOOK A BROTHER UP!!!!
THEN! YOU CAN TARP IT FOR ME TOO!
SHC Thanks this. -
Freeebrd, you just need to get yourself 47 state registration so you can go farther than the Midwest. There is good paying freight going to TX, AZ, ND, MT and the such.

#### freebird my house is 25 minutes from butler, Where are you headed tommorow mister?

Go buy the poor guy dinner, or take him to the gym. As much as he's been sitting around the truckstops he probably could use both LOL
-
Sounds like ch robinson. Most these dumbacses don't know some steel is designed to rust. I look at the weather forcast and that determines me tarping or not. At least half my tarp loads don't
