It works like that whether you are company, lease or O/O. No one gets to line-up multiple loads here. They'll send you a preplan if the freight backlog is deep enough, but there's not enough information associated with it to actually pickup the load.

 

I said A company. If you are a "true" O/O and running your own authority, etc, then you can pick your own loads as you wish. Working with or for Prime, well, you get what's available. And sometimes it isn't all that grand. But it does pay the bills and let you get ahead of the game. (In our situation, for a check to beat his previous employment, he just needs 1450 miles/week.
