Female Student Needs Honest Opinions

Same here Truckinchic. Ive been threw all the BS you can imagine since I started in 1990. I use to just take it and not say anything for fear of being laughed at, starting trouble, etc. But you can only take the butt, crotch and boob grabbing for so long. Sure does get tiring having to prove yourself for so long also. But once my experience was on paper, I didnt mind voicing my dislikes of treatment, truck repairs needed etc.
Seems like when your starting out they look at you like "shes biatching again" or "what, she dont know what shes talkn about".
My FIST seeks a conection now before my voice though LOL

 

Also, you don't have to in any way give up being an effeminate woman by being a truck driver. I wear dresses all the time, and conduct myself as a business professional. Ignore those that lack class. You're above their lack of conduct.

 

LOL,,Trust me it was hard not to use the fist. There have been times where I wanted to bury the Kenworth in some of those companies that pulled that crap on me. Whats worse is they made it so plain to see that they were lying. One place didnt want to hire me because I had a Class A. They only wanted B drivers,,yet they have class a trucks running out of the same yard. After listening to this guy run his bulls..t line i got up and asked him just who the hell he thought he was fooling with a line of BS like that....some dumb blonde. Told I see through you story , keep your #%$@^&* job, and walked out.,,lol..

 

One of the best pieces of advice to anyone. When dealing with someone, make good eye contact and lean forward just a little. you are not aggressive, but assertive in this posture and body language speaks volumes with a first impression.

 

it appears we have lost lil sister the post starter .........so sad..... be nice to see a few females that aren't as big as my KW in the TS

wow...not sure what to say to that....but there are lots of us that arent...sure would be nice to see some guys with teeth and hair or dont feel the need to show us their belly or plumbers butt with every move.....now that didnt sound very nice , did it???

Pete may not have been very tactful with his comment, but he's right in part. They call those "Diesel Dykes", because they don't give a hoot about their appearence at all. We've all seen 'em. I've also seen a few that took the time to look nice. It's a personal choice. Hell, I'm a Leo and enjoy the boys all rubberneckin'. Shame on me, I know, but the outfits are designed to be feminine, weather appropriate, and nothing is showing that shouldn't be. Have fun out there girls!
