    It always P***** me off when Im getting fuel and someone walks up looking for a hand out. "Hey, you gotta a couple of Dollars I can get from you"? Do truck drivers look like a walking ATM?

    How do you deal with people like that and what are some of the worst ones that have came up to you.

    The worst one Ive seen so far, other than your occasional crack ho, I guy walked up and was looking for a hand out. He was dressed very well and even had a nice pair of wingtips on. If he had sold his clothes, he could have made $150 easy. But it just aggravates me to death when people do that. I got to the point that I tell them that I dont keep cash on me just because of people like you.

    Depending on my mood i'll either tell them or rather yell to get out of my face or i'll be nice and lie to them tht I don't have any money.One time a lady walks in my trk while sleeping at what I thought was a real nice peaceful restarea.Wish I would have had a pit bull at the time.But from then on I lock my doors.

    last time I had that happen I told him to wash all my windows and leave them streak free and I would give him $10.

    He walked away.

    They want a hand out but can't work for it.I don't have anytime for bums.Some are actually down and out and I have offered to buy them food but no they would rather have the cash for drugs and/or booze I imagine.

    One guy came up to me in a truckstop with a sad story about not having a load, no money, needed a meal, etc. He was wearing a JBHunt shirt, FWIW.
    I told him years ago, another driver helped me out in a situation, and wouldn't take anything for helping me. I gave him $5.00, and said "I just repaid the other guy".

    I never had drivers ask me for money just the everyday my car has a flat or the every popular I ran out of gas type ppl.

    I always just tell them all I have is a company credit card and the company handles things for me while I'm on the road and just takes it out of my check. Works like a charm....they always keep walking to the next truck in line
