Caller: Kevin, I want you to tell me all about my oil sample to everyone else that is listening to your show.

Kevin: Yea, you got copper and guber topotechno, with a little bit of sodium and on and on.

I wish he would talk about something like, Freight Rates, Brokers, Dealing with shippers, Laws, anything useful to the rest of us.

Isn't he still promoting this? Thought I saw them advertised as being part of his deal at MATS.

And don't forget the current MicroBlue. Won't be as big a scam because not as many drivers will do it.

I just took off the first of March a pair of Continental HSR2 11R22.5 16 ply steer tires that worked great and were just as good as the Michelin XZA3+ I replaced them with. That HSR2 is great steer tire and it comes in a 16 ply too.

That's because he has "limited" experience in those areas. Being leased to FedEx Ground pretty much eliminates having to know anything about those subjects. His area of expertise is figuring out how to get his cost of operation down to the bare minimum so that he can eek out a profit from the pittance Uncle Fred pays him to drag those doubles around.

KR started as a independent truck owner not leased to anyone. Spent several years doing that and obviously gained some knowledge about brokers, load rates, and such. True, now he has all of his stuff at FedEx, but it has not always been that way.

Thing is, he posted his average annual net profit at FedEx is at 25% for several years and showed data to prove it. And that is after he pays equipment costs and his drivers, workman's comp for them, and benefits. Not too bad. Must be doing something right.

I wouldn't be upset, if after all my expenses and paying myself, that I was able to sock away 25 cents of every dollar of revenue.

A 25% net profit is not the same as making 25 cents on every dollar of revenue. That number is much smaller. Maybe I'll come back to this.

If u guys r half as intelligent as u think u would know that the 1.30per mi was only a starting goal for the driver to reach. For a driver struggling u dont want him shooting for 3.00pm with atleast gaining a understanding of how to pick loads. So u set small goals to reach then increase them as the knowledge is obtained. Half u guys probably run at. 90cpm anyway.

Net profit is total revenue minus total expenses. So 25% net profit is 25 cents per dollar revenue.

    BigKid2 and Dice1 Thank this.
