    Well, I know you all must be making for money than I am. I have had my truck in the shop 5 times in the past 4 weeks with DEF aftertreatment system issues. After I get out on the interstate, the truck throws a CEL and then a derated engine error message. It then derates the engine so it has no power over hills. After driving like that for several hours, it detunes to the point where it won't go over 5 mph. Each shop has replaced parts, from DEF filters to DEF lines to the DPF, none of which fixes the truck for more than a day or two. This morning, I am in Fargo, ND, at the 5th different shop I've seen this time out on the road. I was just in the shop yesterday in Sauk Centre, MN for the same problem where they replaced a def filter. I made it about 85 miles or so.

    Hard to make any money if every time I leave home I end up sitting at shops and hotels all over the country. I am going to have a talk with my DM and see if they have an old 387 or maybe a Freightliner sitting around I can drive for the next year or so... this 587 is a dumpster fire.

    From what I have gathered from breakdown, most of the new DPF trucks are frequently in breakdown for this issue.

    That's why DEF should of never been required and out so fast without rigorous testing. Still working out kinks in system at drivers expense.

    I have had a hell of a day. I got to winery last night so I could drop first thing in am. Got to dock area w my truck at 0630, they didn't open tell 7 only before I was told by the yard dog guy to move my truck. It was 0650. Then some taliban looking guy took my door and everyone got a door except me. I was first one there last night and this am. So thanks to towel heads and that dick with ears I was late to my next appointment at 11 at othello. Here it is going on 8pm and I still don't have a door, or load time. I do not deliver tell Mon, but I would like to get my paperwork sent so I can get paid. By the way, the idiot that posts directions on the QC for this place how about giving a direction as north or south not right or left. You idiot you never been here or could find this place if you tried. Even Google maps does not show this place. I got here about 1330. Guess after loading I will sleep here some more and leave in am.

    if thats the mccain which I would guess is the only reason anyone would even go to that town lol, I was late cause my reefer unit didnt work and I got loaded at like 1130pm, last one, I just pulled up into a parking spot infront of the doors and slept there, I didnt even go in to get my bills or anything lol. in the am i went into the office and they were like oh we were looking for you... Im sure they didnt 'look' for me since I was sitting right there in the parking lot lol

    Well, I am now at the 6th shop. I made it about 100 miles from Fargo and then the engine lights and engine derated. Now I am in a hotel in Bismarck, ND, and the truck is sitting at the shop.

    If I were an owner op, I'd be aggrivated as hell with Peterbilt right now...

    At least I am not footing the bills.
