So apparently I cannot drive for Prime. It seems being unemployed since August and living in a county with the highest unemployment rate in the state is a big no-no. Arggggh I wanna scream and will be ###### if i drive for Werner or Swift.

That sucks man. If you can find something part time for a bit it should help.

Get some temporary min-wage employment for awhile (if you can) and reapply.

Well it seems the recruiter didn't know what he was talking about, he told me i had to get a job and hold it for 2 years. I called back and the lady i spoke with said fill out a application. I did and it asked me if I had worked in the last 3 years. well yes I did 2004-2010 and a lil bit in 2011, the time between was worked doing odd jobs for pay but off the books. fingers crossed man...fingers crossed

Over the years, I have basically been self empoyed/unemployed lol!
BUT, even though my job history is spotty (haven't had a real job in a few years until recently driving a school bus) I have always had something going on on the side so my tax returns reflect that. An office in home is a wonderful thing! Just start some kind of stupid online business and rake in the deductions!
The IRS lets you loose money for FIVE years!

In my case, I have actually made at least 9 or 10k and my deductions eleminated any taxes, etc.

My recruiter said all they need is verification. Problem solved!

Actually, surfing the Net for "home based" businesses is a start....
I tried and failed numerous times... made small change...
BUT... I was working from home, had a designated space for said office,
so... I counted that as "office in home"... works! :biggrin_255:

Hey Openroaddreamer, Am I better off doing the entire CDL course at Prime or getting my CDL permit in Colorado first before headin' out to Prime? Thanks for any advice.
