the only way to know - use brake box and check injector pulses (90V), ore use small pins to connect to injectors under valve cover.
Other way - disassembly ECU, get it powered on desk and measure voltage on Flux capasitor, but be carefull, 90V!!! Sometimes I open ECU and see.... ouh)))

Reman $1800
New $ 2300
When I buy a new unit, what to they mean by needs to be programmed?? Doesn't it come pre-programed -
What do you recommend from your experience, is it better to buy reman unit or new??

really I notised no difference. Both reman and new parts are of the same quality. Seems to me it is kinda envoroment laws issue. Remanufacted ECU is old ECU core with brand new board
