Cubbie spends hometime in my driveway. Sometimes with a trailer, sometimes without, THAT depends on the weather leading up to hometime. Wet = no trailer. Dry = doesn't matter either way.

I have only heard of FB guys getting full-size, but I have seen a few lightweights at the yard. As far as I know, the company expects atleast 6.5 MPG, but the fuel bonus starts at 7.25mpg. Last week I ran 3500 miles heavy and got 7.97mpg for the week. If you go with a reefer trainer for TNT you will have to do an additional 30 days with a flatbed trainer for securement training. If you go with a flatbed trainer its the minimum 40k miles.

I drive a 2012 Cascadia. It is hard finding a flatbed trainer, but you are in the right place to find one. No offense to the reefer guys, but if you want to go flatbed you really need to find a flatbed trainer. Keep looking and they come! If you have anymore questions don't hesitate to ask.

Mont is correct. However... I have seen a fb cute truck. Asked my FM about it and he said they were being issued because of a shortage of fullsize trucks. Only good thing about the cute trucks is they do have the 2 door headache rack. That allows you to store your dunnage and coil racks in side slots. They dont have room for a sidebox like DA1 and I have. The full 60" sidebox comes in handy for storing extra items one accuires.

I have been listening to the Prime March Safety meeting and they said that the new flatbed and step deck trailers they are getting will have a front axle that will raise to help improve fuel mileage when empty and save on tires too.

Thats true. Cant wait to get one of the new trailers. Load I got now could be run with the front axle up, weight wise.

Load I just dropped. Wouldve needed both axles for it. Three suicide coils. Baby coil weighed in at a measly 8485. Used two chains on it. It was sandwiched inbetween its big brothers. The other 2 were twin 18820 pounds each. They got 4 chains each. Law only requires 1/2 the weight to be secured. Worked out aight.
