Depends where are you running and what are you hauling. Hay out west, mileage. Steel into the northeast, %.
-
It is completely your choice. At orientation, TMC goes over both options in detail. The points system motivates me. You pay on percentage will be based on YOU!!
Everything from route planning, truck appearance, everything. You are the ONLY thing that will dictate how much/little you will be paid. Just my own opinion, no truck driver is gonna make big big money. But I really believe you can make a good living here. But what do I know? Just my 2 cents... -
Ok Guys I think I may have screwed up! Started dedicated about two weeks ago. I was grossing about 850 - 900 a week on line haul at 27% on dedicated Ive only gotten about 1800 miles a week at .38 huge pay cut. Anyone else on dedicated know if it gets better? How long should I give it?
Thanks guys! -
Why are you on mileage on dedicated? I'm on % running dedicated. The miles aren't there for me to switch.
Did they give you a choice? -
Which dedicated? Im on owens corning and i get a flat amount per load plus the mileage.
-
MIALEGE if your otr..you get jipped on %..
-
Lowe's. I'm on straight percentage. Only bad thing is, I only get a raise when they rerate the loads, which has only happened once in almost 5yrs. -
I think every dedicated is different. The contract sets the pay style. I know the different oc's have different mileage pay depending on location. JD specialized i believe gets mileage only with the .10 extra for the od loads.

Hey Jerz, would you pull J.D?
