What are most Dry Bulk Pay Packages

    This is what one company offers
    (thinking internal voice is saying, "WTF") :biggrin_25524:

    Dry Bulk Company Driver Pay Package


    Mileage

    $0.37 per mile

    Loading / Unloading Bonus

    $20 for loading of triaxles, quad axles and B-trains (B-trains!!! :biggrin_25521:)
    $20 for unloading of triaxles and quad axles

    Employees will be compensated for the activities performed; i.e. If you only load but do not unload, the loading / unloading bonus shall be reduced by half. All pay will be deposited directly to the employee's bank account on a bi-weekly basis.

    Shunting will be paid at an hourly rate of $15.50/hr

    City trips of 15 miles or less will be paid at a flat rate of $36.00/trip for Tri-Axle

    Extra Pickups and Deliveries $15.00/stop off

    Wait time will be paid after 1 hour of loading and 1 hour of unloading.

    Layover As follows:
    No compensation for the first 24 hours in the bunk
    Second and subsequent 24 hour periods - $100.00/24 hour period
    If no bunk is available, the employer will provide a hotel room

    the employee will be paid only if the employee is available for work, on-time for the scheduled appointment, has contacted the employer, and has received signed wait time documents from the customer, validating reason for delay.Drivers will be paid after receipt and processing of the required employee paperwork (proof of delivery, log sheets and trip jackets, etc.).

    Those numbers seem weird. What products do they haul. What city / area is this. Can you name the company.

    Yes seem really odd to me to. As far as I could find out it was bulk dry cement. Some where in Newfoundland. Now I could be wrong, But I am sure I done that some where before and it took over an hour to load or unload. (more time at some customer places who have a less then great suction system to get the product out of the lines you are pumping into):biggrin_25513:

    i thot it took about 8 hrs to unload 4 axle cement powder

    I have a 3 pot, triaxle cement bulker that carries 27 Ton of cement. When I'm blowing into a bin it takes me just under an hour and that includes hooking up all the hoses and fittings. I have not heard of a system where they use vacumm to off load. There might be, but never heard of it.
