NOTE: the names have been changed to protect the innocent...lol.

Hell ya we held that truck/trailer for ransom. Because they are telling a big lie and using drivers. Gary is using drivers. Gary is using Alex, who is broke who hired the drivers and is running a company with his MC Authority. Gary is running his truck/trailer making all the money without the responsibility of paying the drivers. Now I want you to tell me how Alex is going to pay the drivers when truck and trailer owner Gary is taking all the money? Alex giving you $125 worth of diesel for a long haul from Arizonia to Massachusetts and puts in $300-$400 in twice. Now I'm not getting into the multiple breakdowns we had with the truck and their eyes focused on the money without the proper methods to run a business or going to talk about when you are low on fuel and next fuel stop is too far and you have to stop the truck and wait until morning because Alex can't get a hold of the broker or answer his phone. Yes my coDriver who is my boss did cuss Gary out and told him he could you know what with his truck and trailer where the sun don't shine. Gary must think he's God because he has a few trucks and bragged about one being paid for. I wonder what victimized driver helped him do that?
But no driver is going to run off with your truck, trailer and cargo (trailer full of frozen pizzas ...LOL) for no reason. Let's talk about that.... They must have paid this driver the bear bones and he got sick of it and ran off with his equipment and cargo trying to get his money. They deserve it.
This truck and trailer owner is suppose to be a Christian man hiding behind the holy cross but yet he's the biggest crook of all.
Ok, so after calling Alex when we got back to Michigan where we were at. My coDriver told Alex he wanted to be paid in cash money and not a check that was going to bounce because he was broke. He also told Alex to come with the Washtenaw County Sherriff and pay us so he could have his leased truck and trailer back, so it would get documented the right way. Mean while, Gary's butt hiding somewhere behind the phone holding his hand out like a little b. So Alex showed up with $480 with the sherriff to pay 2 drivers for the delivered load that went from Ohio to Arizona. When the Sherriff spoke to my codriver he said, " this happens all the time". After Alex paid us we got a ride home from the sherriff and he told us that is "totally wrong what they did but the owner gets his truck back and that it is a civil matter whether we had gotten paid or not". We were just trying to get paid and we lost out big time.
A week later we received a check for $112 for two runs from one from Arizonia to Massachusetts then from Massachusetts to Michigan. That was for TWO drivers. Now is anybody going to tell me who got cheated? How can you support yourself on a little bit of pay if Gary has taken all the money and hiding behind Alex? After all of this we were still able to buy our truck after explaining this to a family member who is a corporate director loaned us $3000.
So, to sum it all up two drivers who drove over 5000 miles for a total of $592 with three break downs on micro-managed fuel and not to mention the truck was stopped by D.O.T. Weigh station and someone had to pay a BOND on the truck to get the truck back on the road. Is this short story funny or what?
A true short story....

Report for your drug test....as sooon as you sober up
Mommas_money_maker, Gizmo_Man and 112racing Thank this. -
Why hide the names of these people ? I would put their company name out here, to help prevent other drivers getting burned by these individuals.
Wargames, Gizmo_Man, aiwiron and 1 other person Thank this. -
But we don't want to get sued for slander but Gary is his real name so his name wasn't changed because he is not innocent. But he regularly reads this forum and is a member here. And he is looking for his next victim that's how he found us. And he directs you to Alex. Alex as far as we know isn't on this website.Last edited: Apr 21, 2012

This is what you get for "trusting" owner operators. Driver Beware!

you cant be sued for slander if you are telling the truth

We don't know the whole deal what led to that driver stealing the truck, trailer and load. But we definitely know it was because he wasn't paying him. And he must of ran a lot of miles too. We had heard he missed his court date and now there is a bench warrant out on him now. It is upsetting that this driver was forced to do something out of the box.

I have seen many years ago, an owner operator, del., the company refused the load, and he would sell as much of the load as possible in a truck stop or off the interstate. He would be on the radio talking about what he has for sale.
-
Um... Gary didn't make any money! The drivers made more than Gary or Alex did because the driver took a vacation with the load and truck instead of delivering the load. I have all the GPS data to provide it. Sure, there was a flat tire, an issue at a scale house (0n the first leg of the trip), and a couple extra fuel stops due to driver error and driving out of route. But it still doesn't take 5 days for a team to run from Yuma, AZ. to Boston.
When you add in shipper late fee's, extra fuel for driving out of route, and other assorted expenses, and $1000 of damage to the truck nobody made money here but the drivers, and that came out of my pocket.
When you also consider that her husband chose to threaten the life of both the truck owner and the company owner, and also threaten to destroy the truck demanding to get paid from the very first day, you can see why this husband and wife team have so much trouble.
Nobody gets paid for a load before the delivery gets done. Nobody gets paid if the work isn't done in an efficient and timely manner.
Remember, there are two sides to every story, and you are very lucky that I decided to not press charges against you for stealing my truck and holding it ransom on Easter Sunday. I could have!
As far as how I have three trucks and trailers paid for.... I worked my ### of for 25 years and saved my money. No driver earned that money for me. I did it myself! As a driver!
I wish you well, and hope that when you buy your own truck and run it for $0.88 a mile plus FSC you make a profit after you pay your truck payment, fuel, insurance, plates, repairs, yourself, all the while you are on vacation with your husband.
As long as you work for someone, you listen to them and do as is expected of you! If you would have, everyone would have gotten paid, not just you!
BTW... I forgive you, and Jesus will to, if you ask Him too!Last edited: Apr 22, 2012
