You must have misread my post or just read the topic title only. You see two young guys in a truck taking literrally 30 minutes to get into a dock? They would pull in, screw up, and pull alllll the way back out about 80 feet to start over and end up at the same position. They would probably be still out there if I didn't show them the correct and only way to get into that space because they were not doing it at all. Plus it is a saturday in a small Tyson I am the only driver here besides them.

Well if someone can't back straight into a dock, and they might hit his truck, then it is his business.

I jumped out of my truck one night and offered to help a female driver get into a spot at a grocer warehouse. She accepted the help, even though she said she really didnt need it. ##### was fixing to plow my hood FOR SURE!

Later on we got to talking, turns out she was a trainer for May :biggrin_25514:

Ill back up anywhere you ask me to, or at least attempt it, but I always give myself lots of room in turns...

Was at Fry's outside of Phoenix a few months ago and a young driver was having trouble backing into a spot. He GOAL'd several times but just couldn't seem to get it. Other trucks were stacking up waiting for him and I got out and spotted his blind side and he was finally able to get in. Several minutes later he pulled out and started backing in again. I am thinking, WTF? I then noticed he was going for the hole 2 spaces over. I cracked up! All that work and he was at the wrong door!! To his credit, he got right in that second time!

I love how her being female is pertinent to your story, and then the lovely 5 letter word you call her later on.

    Stay klassy.

It's sad how some of these outfits will send a guy out with so little training.

Hell I could teach a 8 year old to drive forward, backing is without a doubt the hardest thing about driving a truck. If I where training a guy we would drive in reverse for 2 weeks before ever touching 6th gear.
