Rick - as much training as they do, I'd suspect that wouldn't be a problem. If it were a problem, it would be on the "list" of things the recruiters watch for.

Right now I am a resident of California. I am planning on getting my permit before going to orientation. I was thinking I would also be able to get my CDL in California after training, is this not so? My recruiter said it would adventageous to get my permit first but if I can't transfer it or need to get a CDL in MO, I might just wait.
-
Get the permit first. After you test in Mo you will receive a Mo CDL. You then travel back to Ca and transfer the Mo to a Ca CDL. No need to transfer the permit.

Right on, Thanks! -
No problem.

I know to have permit before orientation to make it less stress. How about the dot physcial ? The simulator is that hard to pass? i really need to make it thru the orientation and get started training . i am really interested to learn to drive. I dont want to fail and have no job. thanks dave86........

No matter what youll get a physical at Prime. The simulators for PSD are not pass fail.
-
thanks for the information.what is simulator ps?What is the purpose of the simulator?
-
The purpose is to assess your driving ability without risk to a truck or a person. Remember those racing games at the arcade? Kinda like those, but MUCH more sophisticated.
I should mention that simulator test after TNT is pass/fail. -
I asked my recruiter about getting my DOT physical before getting to SpringMO, and she said they give you one whether you get one at home.
Maybe the only reason to get one at home is to make sure you can pass.
Me, I recently passed a DOT earlier this year to drive a school bus.
