If you dont find anyone here with some used swag, he could buy new at Farm & Fleet.

Grade 70 5/16 chains 20 ft long with 2 hooks are about $45 ea.

    Binders are about $26 ea

Tri city tarps in granite city Il is at that or slightly cheaper, plus they make about any custom tarp you could want in various colors.

Just checked Lowe's today, they have Grade 70 5/16 chains 20' Long with hooks for $34 I think the 3/8 chains were $39. I know for a fact none of them were $40

I just bought a step and was thinking about getting bigger chains. Did you notice if they carry 1/2".

Was also thinking of hitting one of the LS guys up to see if I could get them to use their Tri-city discount for him. Not sure what it is but every little bit helps.

Why do you need 1/2" chains??? Way overkill..... Heck I've got 12 3/8" chains and I barely use them. I'm going to stock up on 5/16" now since I don't run heavy machinery anymore and they are just fine to run on plate steel and beams. Plus I got the 3/8 if I need it.

    MNdriver Thanks this.

www.tarpstop.com has good deals on chains. Cheaper than Lowe's by a few bucks, but after shipping it would probably be a wash..

Don't waste your money on 1/2". Unless your trailer has securement points rated higher than the WLL of 3/8 chains your just carrying extra weight.
