Hi! So glad to find this site! It makes me feel "not quite so alone". I have decided to hit the road at the ripe age of 56! On to a new adventure! I drove a KW end dump for 9 years on and off road but am new to tractor trailer. I will be starting a refresher course in a week and am excited and nervous at the same time. Hopefully, if I can 'cut the mustard' I will be another ol lady on the road! I grew up in a trucking company family, my dad owned 30 trucks, so I am familiar with the industry and have been on many road trips but have NEVER been in the drivers seat! I hope I am not too old to pursue this career and am wondering how 'safe" it is for women traveling alone out there! Well, I will have a small Cavalier King Charles Spaniel with me but he is NOT a guard dog!![]()

You will find everything you need here for info etc. You are NOT too old,and there are women here to answer your OTR concerns. They are not hard to find here.. (I would) throw out some names but I do not want to get on their "hit list."
