I had a crap week and felt like sharing due to a lack of anything better to do.
Friday last week, I loaded coils and was told I couldn't deliver them until Monday. It is a 5.5 hour trip. So I went to the yard (1 hour from consignee) and then went home. I was told to come in at noon on Monday.
Monday I roll out at noon and get empty. Went 40 miles to get a preloaded trailer going to Lawrence, IN. I arrived in Lawarence 2 hours early. The construction company was taking one piece off at a time and there were 3 trucks in front of me. So after 1230 I headed to get more coils. Got in, got out and was headed 5.5 hours north.
The coil consignee takes trucks until 1 am. I got in at 10pm and what a shock, not a soul in sight. 30 cars in the lot, no workers anywhere. I wondered around their facility 5 times and no one. Magically at 1 am people came out of the wood work. Gotta love lazy nightshift workers.
The next morning I got empty and came back to the yard and got fuel and was sent up the road to load. Got loaded and was back at the yard at 1030 am. I was told to go home and deliver the load 12 miles away on Thursday.
Got empty on Thursday and was sent back to the same shipper to get another load. Loaded and back at the yard by 945 am. The load delivers it Chicago on Monday. So I was told to go home until then.
904 miles total for the week, I was home on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and will be here until Monday around 3 am. Cannot wait to see my booming paycheck. I better call the bank and prepare them for this one.
Thanks for reading my rank about the week. I feel better now and cant wait to get next week started to make some money.
MY bad week

PITY PARTY thread....
Left on Sunday. 647 miles..YEAH.
Load on Monday....Overweight, get some off, head north...403 miles.
Live Unload/load on Tuesday Morning, sit and wait for 4 1/2 hours. Head north 130 miles. Sit for 5 1/2 hours live load. WTF? Another 200 miles. Total of 340 miles for the day.
Weds, finish things out, head back south. 675 miles. Truck stop I was going to stop at was closed out of business and chained up. ####....
Thursday, deliver, told it's a live unload and drop and hook...WTH? Suddenly it becomes a hook and book at 9:30 AM in Champaign ILL with a 6:30 PM unload in Hopkins MN. Ummm...OK
Get in at 6:15 "Your load is scheduled for May 2 at 9:45 AM." PM. I busted my ### for 9 1/2 hour drive and cover 650 miles in the day and now you are going to make me sit in your dumb parking lot for the night I was supposed to shower?
WTF? Finally get an unload at 7 AM this morning. At 6:13AM, the phone rings and before I can answer it, they go to voicemail and leave me a nice message, "since you can't answer your phone, we'll unload you this afternoon, Maybe." It went down hill from there.
