Yesterday morning, while on the road, had my truck serviced, (2007 T800, NXS Acert), No problems until about one mile down the road the yellow "check engine" light comes on, blinking periodically. I pulled over, rechecked all fluids, temps, pressure all OK. Returned to the service shop, where manager tells me to reset by turning off ignition, then starting up again (it cleared, and now shows the usual #55). 1000mi later, all still OK. Checking the code flasher thingy with cruse switch before I reset, it showed a "92" (nine, then two flashes). Wondering what could have caused this I called local tech who stated that during fuel filter change, service guys probably spilled diesel on a nearby actuator, and the 92 code was a voltage problem related to the spilled diesel. Anyone ever come across this?
What the heck happened?

Flash Code 92 is for the Intake Valve Actuators on cylinder 1 & 2, which are located in the valve train under the valve cover. Unless the poured fuel over the wiring harness plugs and ECM, I doubt the problem was caused by changing the fuel filters and spilling fuel.

the wrong oil filter can cause this. Acert engines require a full flow oil filter Cat 1R-1808.
Chickentrucker20 and droy Thank this. -
i had the same problem with my truck last month. The check engine light came and it was a voltage code for the 3&4 IVA. The light stayed on for about 15min then went out. I was reading on here that some people had issues like this and it turned out to be bad connections in the wiring harness and sometimes they would loose the connection just long enough to trigger the CEL. My light hasn't come back on for the last 5000 miles so I'm just going to wait and see what happens before taking it in the shop.

I had a wiring harness issue with mine, it was where it connected to the IVA. In my case it derated it. Best mileage that week i'd ever had with the pos...lol! Probably a message in there somewhere.

Thanks for the clarification Kurt, had my wires crossed, (no pun intended).
That's what the tech was referring to, diesel was spilled on the wire harness, and possibly a nearby atmospheric sensor (?); there were several of us talking, and I apparently wasn't listening as well as I should have been.
Now wondering if this is an early warning that I will soon be needing to R&R the two actuators? -
When it derated, did it show a code?
Seems like I lost a little power, but not sure; just had the truck in shop for the AC, and got them to change some parameters which had helped a little. -
Just double checked, the 1808 is what they installed.

It did show a code, unfortunately the previous owner had removed the bulb from the check engine light, so I didn't know it. Felt pretty dumb when the tech at Peterbilt showed me that! With this truck, nothing surprises me, the previous owner wasn't a fan of warning lights...as soon as they hooked it up to the computer, the code was there. Replaced the harness and no more codes. Replaced the bulb too! loldroy Thanks this.
