Paycheck is right....this was long thought out and discussed in the bowels of mgmt. long before it came down. Get more loyalty from the dog.....

I admire you for wanting to hang on, speak to mgmt. and salvage something however they have already told you what they think of you by hacking your pay with some elaborate ruse of coconut shells. Did the gals take a pay cut? The shop? Dispatch?

It's prime hiring season right now....burn all unused bennies while you look for another gig, lock down the new gig and pop the chute.....AMF.

Been there so it's JMO with experience....

Actually, I have contacted the CEO & VP in charge of HR. They are meeting with the Regional Manager who into implemented the new pay scale. I just wanted a back up plan

They may have made decisions which were better for the company as far as the pay scale goes, but that doesn't mean they won't listen to their employees despite what union hacks will claim. There is nothing a union can do for you, that you and fellow workers can't do on your own.

Bulletproof is correct hand...... I have several good examples of companies acting right under union guidance / rules. And before someone flames me I have also seen the union protect worthless trash......

It's a trade off IMO. It's difficult to cull the trash under union rules....but I've seen it done.

The op's problem is a carrier whom is looking to drivers to boost his bottom line. Likely a new regional mgr. trying to make his mark by targeting the weakest group. It's a dangerous game. He could easily find himself with a fleet of empty trucks however unlikely. There is no substitute for experience and his drivers know the customers. Anyone new will have a learning curve no matter how seasoned.

IMO the big dogs already know what the RM has planned. He probably ran it by them before hand......

Like I said, I'd have the chute on and the side door open, this bird is going down....soon as I see a good spot I'd bale......and I would do it when it hurts the most, like 2 or 3 guys out on vac.

    JMO

I am sure they are not concerned With replacing their veteran employees. Besides, you are the one making to much anyway. The lazy hacks they have to employ to pay less will be their lesson. Sucks to have to go job hunting. Good luck!

Keep your pay stubs that show the change in compensation. Keep records of additional work performed and the time it took... Just write it down.

In many states, this situation warrants an ability to resign your position AND collect unemployment, until you find another position. I would suggest checking with your state labor office and unemployment office.

I've known of people to actually do it... and it does have a snowball effect. Once other employees see what you have done... quit and get unemployment... many start to do the same... and the outcome is bad for the boss.
