Can't say I blame you on the repowers. That reefer trailer hides a multitude of sins inside - always have to look in the inspection door to find out what they did to it. One time, 1/4 of the freight had fallen, no load locks, and was damaged. Turned out the load was glass products, damage most likely due to bad driving on the part of the first driver.

Recently its been problems with trailers loaded for lightweight tractors. Shippers are finding out they don't have to worry about weight distribution as much, so on a repower I have to be careful now. They are either too heavy for my tractor, or loaded to the max on the nose - makes the drives and tandems hard to ballance. If I can't scale the load (or sneak it up the road) it usually means I loose a day of revenue over sitting around after fooling with the repower, and no compensation for moving to the swap location - of course!

I can only imagine plus on the new trlrs they took the inspection door away from you guys and if that driver knew he had glass why not put a few load locks in there...sad

I dong do a lot of repowers and that why ill stick to just picking up from the shipper myself if i can....im glad i dont have to worry w/the weight dist like you guhs do when you repower a lw thats got to suck i know we have a few but never see them

I should be heading towards Seattle tomorrow, its been 6 weeks since I've been home. Was really hoping to have apu fixed before so I don't have to empty out my fridge. I've had the apu now for almost 4 weeks and its only worked about one. Kind of odd, but most loads that get me home are lumber loads. I would have thought WA has plenty of lumber already.
